A group of volunteers from the ‘Vatavaran’ a Delhi based NGO visited FoV’s ‘Vrindavan Kuda Prabandhan Pariyojna’ programme under which they learned to make hand- made recycled paper, organic manure by Vermi-composting the bio-degradable waste and basket making from the recycled plastic carry bags.
Ms. Nivida Chandra, Shri Dev Kabir Malik, Arushi Gupta, Sonia Patel, Easha Guha, Nishtha Mohil were the participants in the group. The purpose of the visit was to see the garbage recycling in process in the temple town of Vrindavan, said Ms. Nivida Chandra who was leading the group.
‘Vatavaran’ is headed by prominent environmentalist Dr. Iqbal Malik, who has earlier assured collaboration between ‘Vatavaran’ and ‘Friends of Vrindavan’ for the cause of environment protection. This visit is one step forward to working together.
